Hello I am an African American female and I have always had a thick layer of dark skin on the sides of my nose. it sort of looks like when a scab is formed of over a cut or something. You may be having an allergy to some thing you are applying like sun screen , night cream , face wash etc which is causing the thickness of skin.Kindly meet a dermatologist , he will give you a cream ,which will help you.
