My father is a 74 year old person recently suffering from Anxiety & depression. Symptoms had been extreme low mood, fear of diseases, insecurities, worries about minor or no issues, sleeplessness. Med hist: non diabetic, hypertension, suffered from Chest inflammation in the past

He is exhibiting signs of depression as he becomes senile. Mood changes may require mood stabilizers and anti-depressants and so you will undoubtedly require a psychiatrist consultation so please do arrange an appointment with your doctor at your earliest convenience.
