I am a 48 year old woman, who has suffered from nistagmus since I was a child. I saw a specialist at first until I was 18, but then my eyesight had improved enough to see a local doc. Now that I am older, and just started a career with computors ,my eyesight has really started to give me problems, my eye doctor told me I just needed some readers, but I am not sure, because it seems like I have to strain to see anything without them. Can you give advice.
Patients with nystagmus usually learn to have compensatory head posture where nystagmus is least and vision comparatively clear..you need to check for that. Increase the fond size on computer while working. Adjust light according to comfort. That should help
