Suggest Remedy For Dizziness And Twitching In Eyes After Injury
Hi, On Monday I was hit in the left ear/head with a 70mph softball. I was knocked to the ground with a concussion. The ER did CT scans and everything came back normal. I saw an ENT who put two incisions in the front nd back of ear for a hematoma, then sutured with a cotton compressions directly to the ear. She did not see any ear rupture or fluid. I have a follow up tuesday. My left side of my head is dull, with some slight ringing. Last night I bent down to look under the couch and it felt like i went too deep in water, needing my ear to pop, which it has not. About 30 minutes ago I felt dizzy and sat down and now I have a pulsing twitch in my left eye lid. Is this normal after injury?
No its not normal. You must consult your ENT again and tell your complaints in detail. You may be developing facial paralysis and labyrinthitis. Another common cause of dizziness after head injury is Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). Your detail examination and necessary further investigation would decide the further line of treatment.
