Hi,
The most probable reasons for your symptoms may be one of the following:
-
Sinusitis giving green mucus that on accumulation turns into scab
- Dry scab becomes adherent to the mucus membrane and on forceful removal or blowing will separate the mucus lining thus causing bleeding
- Local
rhinitis problems
- A condition called atrophic rhinitis
Hence I would advise you the following:
- Use diluted soda-bicarb solution in affected
nostril after consulting your ENT Surgeon how to prepare and use it
- This will allow the separation of scab from mucus membrane hence not causing bleeding on removal
- Humidify inhaled air
- You need a proper course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines
- ENT
Endoscopy and
CT scan for nose and sinuses
All these will give further diagnosis so that a specific treatment can be done. Complete the courses till cured.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
