Suggest Remedy For Dry And Flaky Scalp

After I wash my hair my scalp is very dry...and then there is this stage where its like sores and pussy... it ends up drying up and being flakey. almost like a burn from a perm only I dont use perms I just use shampoo and even that burns the areas that im talking about..... which are right in the front of my head around my temple areas...... only thing I can think of is I changed shampoos and recently tried clarifying shampoo Im not sure which one caused it but I stopped using both but my scalp does the same after I wash it no matter what is this something I need to see a doctor for or I can buy something over the counter

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of dry and flaky scalp which can occur due to many reasons like nutritional deficiencies, underlying systemic conditions, genetic factor , fungal infection , covering head with cap and hormonal changes. Need not to worry. You should start with application of Finasteride preparations. Take Indian goose berry powder with water once a day and use almond oil. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may order skin patch test , blood test and physical examination . Doctor may prescribe you drug like finpecia at least for 3-4 months or antifungal treatment along with minoxidil spray. Doctor may also prescribe supplements like Vitamin A ,Omega-3 and Vitamin E.
