Suggest Remedy For Dry Cough Due To Exposure To Chlorine

my husband has used chlorine to clean black molds in shower cubicles repeatedly for four days hoping to completely erase all molds. Since then he has itchy throat n dry cough. i happened to be suffering from upper respiratory infection n difficulty with sputum coughing real hard. my infection is better but despite syrup n losenges bought for dry irritant cough he has taken twice but no improvement.!!can drinking milk or gargle with warm salty water helps? thanks.

Hi,
given your description i find the cough to be because of irritation of airway due to chlorine.

Steam Inhalation and Gargling shall help.
Avoid exposure to chlorine.

If cough persists for more than a week, a Chest X ray is advised.
