Suggest Remedy For Dry Cough
Cough is very hard and dry after a week. First was diagnosed with strep one week ago. First on amoxicillin, then benzonatate and bioxin. And now on hydrocodene. First started as cold,sniffles runny nose and scratchy throat and ended up as cough but now it s a heavy barking dry cough. And making patient very weak and sore throughout body. Cough is persistent and not going away. Medicine is not workinh even while on cough suppressant. Please advice me on what to do.

Try these things, steam inhalation , chest physiotherapy, oral bronchodilators, oral antihistaminics, nebulisation and mild short course of steroids.This will clear and open airways to resolve the cough.Regards.
