Suggest Remedy For Dryness And Pain In Throat

Hello, Over the last few days the back of my throat has become increasingly dehydrated. It is to the point that each time in inhale through my nose it causes dry sharp pain. My throat has become increasingly sore and it is getting more difficult to swallow. It appears swollen surrounding the tonsil area on the sides of my throat. I have not had my tonsils removed. I am a 22 y/o male. This morning I tried a home remade to ease the pain by gargling some salt water at which point I began to spit up blood (not cough but spit). I have not been sick in over 12 years, not so much as a common cold, (with the exception of an induced pneumonia while in Marine Corps boot camp). I don’t know what this is, I don’t get sick so I don’t know how to handle it or if it is serious. Any recommendations or knowledge as to what this is?

Hello,

Based on your description i think you have got a pharyngotonsillitis.( which means infection of throat and tonsil) .I definitely recommend a consultation with a doctor. Most of the times, a course of antibiotics will make you to recover completely
