Suggest Remedy For Dull Ache And Pain After Implanon Birth Control Implant
I had implanon birth control inserted one week ago into my left arm, yet was told it should be between biceps and triceps, whereas I realized upon removal of the bandage that mine was on top of my arm, above the bicep muscle. Does this affect the efficacy of the rod? I have had zero bruising or pain, yet the area is sensitive to touch and has a dull ache when I use my arm (normal use, no weight lifting). Is this normal or should I be concerned? The rod does not seem to be inserted into the muscle though, I can feel it quite clearly through my skin. Thank you.
This is normal, you need not be concerned. In my opinion, the rod is in place, and it does not affect the efficacy of the rod. The area would be little sensitive to touch and a dull ache accompanied with it for some time initially. It will go away soon. Don't worry. It is normal to feel it through the skin. If you are still in doubt that it is not in place; please get it examined again by your doctor to check the correct place of it.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
