Suggest Remedy For Dysentry After Been Given Skilax
Hi Dr, how are you? I want to ask a question about my baby son 7 months and 11 days old. Last week he has serious problem about Constipation. Yesterday I took SKILAX (Sulfolax) drops and give him 10 drops. Now he has problem of dysentery. I have CEBOSH SUSPENSION and Entamizole syrup at my home. Can give him to stop it. Regards:Shams
No, Don't give anything. Only food supplements like Banana or like that.
7 month old baby with constipation for one week.. is absolutely normal phenomenon. If duration of constipation increases beyond that upto 15 or 20 or 25 days still don't panic and don't give any laxative. Just after birth , baby has Gastro-colic reflex, While feeding they passes stool. Now as they grow , this reflex abolishes. This transient phase they may take 7 or 10 or 15 or 20 days to pass stool. This is absolutely normal thing. Be calm down. If needed use suppositeries, that acts locally. Now Baby is suffering from dysentry as written.. But wait for 1 to 2days That will be ok if caused by laxative. Support baby with ORS water. Dont give antibiotics or anything extra.
