Went to my otol. specialist, but removing the impacted wax in both of my ears (or either of them) is far more painful than I am able to tolerate. He said to put nightly hydrogen peroxide drops in my ears and come back in a week. I can not take the pain of having it pulled out and am quite concerned. Also worried that pieces of the earplugs that I have used for years are stuck in there. ???? What do you think? What about IV sedation?
If you are very anxious about removing the ear wax , then it will be appropriate you get it removed under iv sedation. Please keep putting the hydrogen peroxide drops as it will soften the wax which can easily be removed. It is unlikely that the ear plugs will be inside your ear for so long as they would have become infected by now, so dont worry!
Take care
