Hi I have an ear infection and it s incredibly painful and throbbing and the whole right side of my face hurts, my jaw, my ear, and my nodes are swollen. And my tongue is white and if I get a whiff of it it smells terrible. Do you know what could be wrong
The Ear Infection looks to Otitis Media and Otitis Externa as you have severe pain which is radiating to face and neck. The Lymph nodes are swollen secondary to the infection in the ear. Due to pain it is possible that you could not clean the tongue properly to give white coasting. Due to infection the bad smell comes. I would suggest you to undergo tests for Blood- WBC and sugar, Examination by an ENT Surgeon to confirm the diagnosis and get a prescription for antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicines, oral gargles. You may need a Ct scan of the mastoids if the pain does not respond.
