my 2 year old son fell and hit his ear on the edge of the table, from my research it s the Helix of his right ear that now has a lump in it and bruise on the front side. He also acknowledges the pain by touching and pointing at it. I m concerned to as if there could be anything serious to worry about... Thanks, Byron
HI.The swelling can be due to a hematoma or also called as a seroma. This needs to be aspirated and a pressure bandage given to avoid recurrence. This should be done immediately to avoid scarification of the ear later , It wll not be treatable in a late stage.
