Im 24, I was given hearing aids on both ears at the age of 17, every year my hearing worsens by roughly 3db, they told me it was sensioneural loss. I dont understand why it is getting worse, i am not exposed to loud noise and haven not had any illnesses or infections that will effect my hearing and nobody apart from myself has hearing problems from any of my family, even the older generations. I just want to understand why it could be getting worse and is there a change it could be genetic?
It may be difficult to comment. It may be due to drugs or toxins or viral infection or trauma or B12 or folic acid deficiency etc.
