Suggest Remedy For Earache With Discharge Due To Infection

Hi there, I ve had an ear infection or five days now and am on antibiotics - fluxocillin. However I still have pain, last night was particularly bad with sharp shooting pain in my ear. Now the pain has reduced but it feels wet inside and I can feel sticky fluid on my finger. Should I be worried?

Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
As you already have been diagnosed with ear infection and started on antibiotic treatment the pus or the fluid will be there for few days till the infection clears.
You must be prescribed the antibiotics for a period of a week or so, so till that period pus and fluid will be draining as it will try to clear out the fluid produced inside and keep draining it.
Only remedy for this is keep your ear clean regularly and keep it dry.
Do not try to put any sharp objects in and try to remove the fluid or do anything on yourself.
The drainage will clear as your infection also will clear up.
