Hello,

You have total cholesterol level of 235. You are on borderline, no worries it will get reduced. You should have mentioned your triglyceride reports also. You have no family history of heart attacks or strokes. You are suggested to get a lipid profile test (detailed study) done. Get other routine cardiac tests also done to stay on the safer side.

To reduce cholesterol level, you are suggested to switch to healthy home made fresh food, regular exercise and walking in the morning and evening. Maintain heathy weight, avoid sedentary lifestyle. Avoid stress and anxiety, take quality sleep and stay away from addictions if any. Control your blood glucose level at all cost.

Stay away from packaged food, trans fat, full fat dairy products, canned food, red meat, oily, fatty spicy food, etc. You are encouraged to take boiled food with a dash of olive oil at least for three months, you can take food cooked in olive oil. Take appropriate amount of veggies, berries, fruits regularly. Prefer to take lean meat and small fish, eggs to keep your diet balanced.

Take well cooked whole cereals. After staying on healthy diet and walking regularly at least 2kms/1.25 miles a day for 45 days, you should get a repeat lipid profile done. Your cholesterol level will improve towards normal. To maintain it, you should continue with healthy eating habits and healthy lifestyle. All the best.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
