My wife is 7 months pregnant, she has a very short cervix and hence is asked to be on bed rest with the foot end of the bed raised by around 4 inches. She has been like this for around a month. on and off she has headaches and when she sits down the headache reduces. Since the last few hours she is experiencing unberable headache and inspite of sitting it is not going away. She is now in India and it is around 3 Am, she cant sleep and the headache is too bad. What can she do?

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Headache in pregnancy can be due to migraine, tension headache or due increased blood pressure.
I will suggest her to take paracetamol to relieve the headache, and do consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated and treated accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
