Suggest Remedy For Excessive Bleeding After D&C Procedure
I had a missed miscarriage in March. The pills did not work so April 24th I had a d&c. I started bleeding three days later and didn t stop for two weeks. A week after that, I started heavy bleeding that lasted another week. Three weeks passed and the heavy bleeding and cramping started again. My doctor started me on antibiotics after my for week post op for endometritis. Now my hcg is 3 and I m bleeding. Could there still be products of conception in my uterus? Is there something wrong with my cervix? The bleeding seems to be brought on by sexual intercourse as it starts the day after.
Based on the history you have shared, you should get a follow up examination with a gynecologist for detailed per vaginal examination as well as ultrasound pelvis to rule out any bleeding vessel or cervical trauma as well as any retained products of contraception left inside.
Complete blood count to rule out anemia due to blood loss as well as platelets counts and clotting profile must be done to rule out other causes of bleeding. Meanwhile using tranxemic acid orally may be helpful.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin
