Suggest Remedy For Excessive Brown Discharge With Foul Odour

My wife is 6week pregnant and she had light spotting for a week or so since 4th week. My doc has prescribed her HCG 5000 Inj weekly until 12 week (for 6 more weeks). Is it safe to take this inj. I read it should not be taken during pregnancy (Categegory X drug) ? Please advice
