Suggest Remedy For Extreme Pain In Foot With Severe Bruises After Walking

My mother went over on her foot walking. Went to work 4 hours later she was suffering from high pain and unable to put any weight on the foot. She hasn t slept all night and still can put no went on the foot. The nurse at A and E said it was severe bruising. Can this amount of pain come from severe bruising? She also has blotchy skin now over her foot? And has been sick from the pain?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

If there is overlying swelling and the pain is too severe to allow any weight bearing, we have to rule out any bone fracture there. It is better to visit A&E for evaluation. After examining, you may be asked for an X-ray. Meanwhile, apply ice packs, keep the foot immobilised and take analgesics like ibuprofen for pain relief.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
