Suggest Remedy For Fatigue And Anxiety During Menopause

I m going thru menopause I m 48 and have been dealing with it for a good two years....last year I was taking Maxium strength Estorven and it was working fine for me I started it in April of 2014 and as of April 2015 it has stop working for me so the last few months I ve been just dealing with them I can have 5 to 8 an hour Just recently I saw a post from this site about apple cider vinegar I started it last Tuesday and it immediately worked but in the last couple of days I seem to be having some to the point of sweating terrible not as many but just was wondering why it worked for a few days and is there anything natural ways to deal with these. Brief history I sweat so bad at night that I don t get a restfull sleep (plus I have incontinence) I m fatigued , moody, anxiety, tired, stressed and just fed up feeling this way and trying to deal with these hot flashes. Its embrassing to go out because my face gets all sweaty and my chest and down my back.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

Fatigue, hot flashes and mood changes can occur as a part of menopausal symptoms. If estrogen therapy is not effective, other drugs like Clonidine, Gabapentin and certain anti-depressants have proven to be effective. One of these medications can be tried after ruling out any contraindications.

Other hormonal imbalance like thyroid disorders should also be ruled out. Kindly check your TSH, free T3 and T4 levels. Non-medical measures like wearing loose cotton fabric, avoiding trigger food like caffeine can also be helpful.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
