Suggest Remedy For Fatigue And Severe Tinnitus

I have not felt well for a couple days. Very achy and just tired. Last night my left ear starting hurting and then went to throbbing. I have used ear dops, hot compresses, rest, and tylenol. The pain in my eat comes back a long with a cough and conjestion. My ear has a squeaky noise in it. Is it time to go to urgent care or will it go away on its own?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of fatigue and severe tinnitus, well tinnitus which isn't a condition itself but it's a symptom of an underlying condition, such as increase blood pressure, ear wax accumulation, stress, cervical spondylosis, age-related hearing loss, ear injury or a circulatory system disorder. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination and to find out exact cause. You should avoid touching or pricking ear with any sharp object. Doctor may order certain tests like audiological test , rushing test , high and low pitched test . CT scan ,MRI can also be done to rule out conditions like hearing loss , exposure to loud noises , earwax buildup , middle ear infection. Doctor may prescribe tricyclic antidepressants , alprazolam and devices like hearing aids and masking devices .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
