Suggest Remedy For Foul Smell On The Sides Of The Nose

Hello doctor, I am curious about the smell the sides of my nose gives off. Even if I shower I can still smell it after a few hours. It especially becomes pungent when I eat pizza or greasy pasta. I wash my face with a regular blackhead daily face wash but the smell is still there. Any ideas on what the root cause is? Greatly appreciated.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an infection in the nose which probably cause the foul smell. I suggest to use saline nasal spray for local application. If the symptoms continue, you should see an ENT specialist for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
