Suggest Remedy For Foul Smelling Wound On Leg

MY mother at age 70 has a skin wound on leg. It has been very slow to heal and has now developed a slight odor. She say a doctor just days ago and they told her to keep doing what she is doing. (changing dressing ets. What does the odor mean? Infection?

If I am your doctor I suggest you bad odor in wound is suggestive of infected wound, which is also suspected with slow healing. I advice you to go with culture and sensitivity of the organism. Take treatment according to the sensitivity report and your infection will go in a week or two. Kindly check her blood sugar and if its high kindly maintain it to normal it will help you in healing fast.
