Suggest Remedy For Frequent Vomiting While On Prilosec For Acid Reflux

My husband is being treated for acid reflux. In the last 6 months symtoms have worsened. He had an upper endoscopy and has beginning Barretts Esophagus. He takes 40 mg of Prilosec twice a day. As of this past week has gas pain and vomiting almost each time he eats. He has been vomiting since 1:00 today. No specific trigger as to what foods are causing this. Will be making another dr appoint asap, just curious as to what is happening.

This is a long term problem and is due to all the effects of the acid reflux and this acid reflux is transforming the mucosal lining of the lower end of esophagus (the barrett's esophagus).


If I was his treating physician, I would have prescribed him with a more potent and best drug for him, Dexilant (dexlansoprazole) and off course a follow up after 2 weeks. Consult his physician for a prescription of the same and follow up with me after 2 weeks. It has the advantage of once daily dose and is a slow release formulation.
