Suggest Remedy For Fungal Infections On The Finger Toe
A week ago, I stubbed my big toe that had toe fungus. Initially it swelled, and throbbed. I relieved it by pricking the skin. It drained little blood, and oozed white liquid. I also applied peroxide on the toenail. I soaked the foot in epsom salt, etc. and also applied neosporin. Since then, the pain and swelling has diminished. The nail is loose but looks like it will grow out. Can I just let this whole thing play out without seeing a doctor?
Hi, It seems that there might be having secondary bacterial infection super added by fungal infection. go for regular dressing with neosporin cream after proper cleaning the part. If infection does not subside, go for one course of antibiotic medicine for 3-5 days. If toe nail will come out, healing will be faster, but never try to remove toe nail. Ok and take care.
