Suggest Remedy For Hand Pain

Hi,
My hand starting hurting on Monday n felt like a sprain. It's Been gradually getting worse yesterday I woke up and it was very painfully it's mainly round my thumb I cannot grip or lift anything not even lift a piece of paper the pain is now right to my elbow please help
