Suggest Remedy For Hard Bruise On Right Thigh

I fell hard on my right side when I tripped over a speed bump. I have a small bruise on my outer right thigh where I hit hard it now hurts - 2 weeks later- when I walk and especially when I go up stairs, is it just a deep bruise or could it be something else?
