Suggest Remedy For Hard Lump In The Arm Pit Post Treatment For Cellulitis
I was diagnosed and hospitalized and released 24 days ago for celluitis from a wound on the elbow. Had red line to armpit, went away, arm has remarkably reduced in size, wound is small and dry. Although there is a rock hard remnant, not painful , area of underlying significance. Finished all prescribed bactrim, but have not went for check-up. Is that an abscess, or damaged tissue healing normally?
Formation of hard lump in the armpit post cellulitis can be a tissue healing but if you are having some symptoms like discomfort, night sweats, hurt, etc, you should get it clinically examined and biopsy done of the tissue to rule out any developing malignancy. Medical conditions that can cause such symptoms are lymphoma, fibro-adenoma, allergic reaction to some medications taken, cancer, allergy, etc. Get allergy testing, CBC, biopsy, mammogram done to stay on the safer side. If tests come positive you will be treated accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
