Suggest Remedy For Hard Lump In Thumb

II used to repeatedly pick & bite the cuticle around my thumb nail. I now have a lump about 5 mm dia which is hard & dry. I tried freezing it with wart treatment but it really stung so I stopped. I also have had 2 verrucas on my foot for many years which despite several treatments will not go, are these related?

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Yes it can be related. It is possible that the lump is caused by viral infection. Ganglion cyst is also possible. Both lesions can be removed. But first you need to find out what it is. To do that I suggest you to consult dermatologist in first row.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
