Suggest Remedy For Hard, Painful Vein With Profuse Sweating Post Meth Shot

Hi, over 24 hours ago I shot meth in my arm vein. Vein got hard and I broke out in a profuse sweat, felt nauseas, and very light headed for about 10-15 minutes. My injection site has been painful and it felt really tight when I straightend it. When I eoke up yesterday after only a couple hours of sleep the pain wasn t as bad but i could still notice it. I have been up since and it is now 420 am. I cant get comfortable and im scared. I sometimes have radiating pain from the site as well as a burning sensation lasting a minute or 2 in my veins. It comes and goes. Im very scared because i am not a meth user and just recently tried it. Please help i dont know what I should do and I am panicked.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to side effects of the injection. I suggest using a painkiller to relieve the pain such as Acetaminophen. I also suggest using cold compresses for local application.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
