Suggest Remedy For Headache Caused By Hitting

I hit my head on the corner of my car door this morning. I hit it right on the temple on the right side. I got a small goose egg right away but later in the day I got (and still have) a bad headache...almost migraine. I dont feel dizzy, nor did I lose consciousness at all. But still, should I go see a doctor about the pain I m having?

Hello dear,

Considering the case history that you hit your head on the corner of car door, the formation of goose egg and headache is attributed to the impact as well as accumulation of fluid & blood.
The blood cells accumulated are eventually broken down and absorbed in the body.
But this is a slow process & takes times to disappear completely.
Till that time, symptomatic relief is obtained by analgesics preparations (like paracetamol), ice compression & adequate rest.

If it still persists or there are any other associated symptoms like fever, vomiting, dizziness, loss of consciousness, convulsions, etc...then it will be better to consult your Doctor.
Under such circumstances, a proper clinical+ radiological evaluation will be needed to rule out any pathological cause for symptoms.

Till then, maintain adequate hydration & nutrition status.
There is no need to worry, you will be fine.
