I am taking Eritel 40 and Revelol XR 50 both pills twice daily. For last 3 weeks my BP is 180/90 at an average, I get lot of headache & most of the day unable to do anything. I feel pressure around my eyes. I got blood test, ECG, 2D ECHO and stress tests done, all normal and eyes check up by doctor is also normal. Can you please let me know what could be the issue & what course of action should I take. I also get oedema on my legs.
Hello welcome to HCM. It seems like all your symptoms are only due to high blood pressure. Your heart function is normal till now that is good thing. I will advise you following. - Get a Renal doppler study done with sonography of kidneys. - Serum free metanephrine levels to rule out adrenal overactivity.. (ask your doctor about that test) - Take plenty of green leafy vegetables and fruits. - it might be possible that your medications for hypertension are still insufficient and they required to be increased. -start daily brisk walking, yoga, exercise. And avoid high salt diet, smoking, alcohol. Thank you. Have a nice day .
