Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been told I ve had too many cat scans bc of an SAH and I m at 3 lifetimes of radiation exposure. I ve been having bad headaches and double vision at times. Am I at risk for brain tumors. What does 3 lifetime radiation exposure really mean and why is my doctor concerned.
Frequent radiological investigations like CT scan lead to increased risk of radiology related tumors. I suggest you to promptly consult your neurologist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
