Hi sir. i am gayathri. my age is 25.hieght is 156cm. weight is 60kg. from my 6th std i cant hear anything from left ear. i can hear from right ear. now this childhood problem can cure by medicines rather than instruments and operations ?. to which doctor i have to consult ? kindly help me sir.

hello, thanks for your query, u need to undergo audiometry tests to see d type of deafness. usually childhood infections like measles and mumps cause permanent nerve deafness which only cured by hearing aid. first consult an ent surgeon for farther evaluation and treatment. all the best. take care.
