Hello,

Stroke patients with bedridden problem need to check for palatal and pharyngeal reflexes. If not present, then don't feed through mouth it may cause aspiration of food lead to aspiration pneumonia.

Give back rest and put nasogastric tube feed her through the tube.

If she is feeling dyspnea, then take her one chest x-ray and if any pneumonia presents, please consult your physician, he/she will examine and treat her accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
