hello dr after chekup of ultrasouod my pregency is postive and it is 5th week and i took unwanted kit one tab on the same day and two after 24hr and rest 2after 12 hr orally, my conern is that it bleed heavily and pain a lot is ther way to get rid pain and when will this bleeding will be stoped

Hello, I really appreciate your concern. Heavy vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain is common after taking unwanted kit. It is because aborted embryo comes out with its products through vagina. Usually this pain and bleeding remains for 3-4 days. If these symptoms persist after it or worsen, then you should consult an obstetrician. You can take mefenamic acid tablet for relief of pain during this period.
After using MTP kit, it is advisable to go for Ultrasonography after 1 week of cessation of bleeding to confirm complete abortion.
