Suggest Remedy For High BP

My 70 yr old fiancé is having trouble with his BP. He will be having back surgery nov 11th. He went to his dr a few days ago and he put him on lisinapril-HCTZ 20/12.5 daily,He s on isosorbid 20mg qday , lisinapril 20 mg a day already. Should I take him to the ER? His BP is 174/92

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Not necessary. Systolic is mildly increased for age. Relaxation and avoidance of stress will be helpful.
2. When on surgery, he might require good control of medications.
3. Not sure, why he is having back surgery. Back exercises and physiotherapy will be helpful.
