Suggest Remedy For High MCV And MCH Levels

My MCV & MCH levels are slightly over the top range. My doctor didn t seem concerned, but I am since I ve been drinking too much red wine recently. I am a healthy 49 year women and wanted to know if I cut back to drinking a glass a night reduce my levels? Am I supposed to take supplements or do anything else? Would you recommend getting a liver test?

i have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns....
Alcohol do cause increase in MCV.... But in my opinion you should get your vit b12 levels along with folate levels measured. Since deficiency of these two gives this picture too..
Meanwhile stay calm and meet hematologist...
