Suggest Remedy For Huge Tender Bruise On Calf

Hi I thought I had a cramp or Charlie horse in my calf a few days ago. Today I notice a huge bruise! Purplish pink. Not to sore but tender about the size of my hand. It s Friday will call my dr next week to make an appointment. If this is a bood clot should I be on an aspirin regiment until I see dr ? I recently returned from vacation a little over a week ago. Airlines and a lot of driving .

Welcome to health care magic.
Bruise is bleeding under the skin usually due to blunt trauma. Aspirin has a property of preventing clotting of blood. You shouldn't take aspirin for bruise.
Usually bruise is self limiting and will resolve by itself. For pain you may keep cold compresses.
