Suggest Remedy For Implanon Implant Side Effects

I have had the implanon implant since july of 2008, and for about a year I have been having side effects. Aside from the abnormal periods, My arm and hand on my left side will go numb, I notice a lot of weakness on that side of my body, as well as leg and foot cramps. Lately I have been experiencing a lot of chest pain and heaviness, also shortness of breath, and it has caused me great concern. I get really dizzy and feel so light headed I almost faint. I am waiting to get my medical insurance back, and I am hoping nothing too horrible is happening. I don't feel very well everyday now, and I'm wondering, are these the not so good side effects of implanon, and should I have something done about it sooner??

Hello,

Your symptoms are indicative of side effects of Implanon. Dizziness, headache, nervousness, abnormal periods, numbing, weakness, etc are due to Implanon side effects. Implanon users have complained of ectopic pregnancy. If you have missed periods you should get clinically examined by a gynecologist, if needed the Implanon can be removed.

Numbing and weakness of the legs may be due to Peripheral neuropathy, get NCV tests and imaging tests done. Get treated at the earliest. Chest pain or heaviness may be due to angina or developing CAD, get lipid function tests and imaging tests done to rule out any heart disease. In the meantime you can take antacids and PPI's for relief. Take vitamin B6, B12 rich food or supplements.
