Suggest Remedy For Infected Gum Abscess

Hi I noticed I have an abscess on my gums where my broken tooth is, I pushed on it to where pus started to come out. I rinsed my out afterwards with warm water/salt. Do I need to go to the ER for this or can I wait until tomorrow to go see my doctor or dentist? Please help me, thank you

Can understand your concern..

As per your complain if you have a pus draining abscess in association with a broken tooth it is most
probably due to infection in tooth leading to pus formation and accumulation in the soft tissues and it appears on the gums and known as a Dental Abscess..

Although you may not have pain as the broken tooth has become non vital due to necrosis of nerves and blood vessels but infection below the roots of the tooth can cause pus formation and dental abscess..

In case if it is not tooth abscess it can be gum boil or abscess due to infection in gums..

I would suggest you to consult a dentist and get evaluated and if it is a tooth abscess root canal treatment or extraction followed by antibiotics and painkillers can relieve..

In case of gum boil Scaling and antibiotics can relieve..
