Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi yes you may. My 91 yr old father s bottom eyelashes have into his eyes. He has. Already had eye surgery to repair it but the 1 eye has flipped back over. He is a hospice patient and pretty immobile but would like to enjoy seeing since that is about all he has left. Is there anything we as a family can do to relieve his aggravation?
Ingrown eyelashes irritate the cornea and may cause ulcer over cornea. The treatment is epilation or removal of the ingrown eyelash. Please do consult an ophthalmologist for the above procedure.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
The following are few treatment options for ingrown eyelash: 1) Epilation 2) Electrolysis 3) Cryoablation 4) Surgery
Unfortunately all the above mentioned treatment options are to be carried out by an ophthalmologist in his clinic and only thing you can do is take him to an ophthalmologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
