Suggest Remedy For Injury In Thumb

Hello, i have recently been in a fight in which i blocked a kick with my left hand, but rather than grabbing it, it went straight into my thumb and i cannot move my thumb, it was popped out of place but i had a friend pop it back into place. It is swollen to the size of a golfball around the base of my thumb and ice does not help, what should i do?
