Suggest Remedy For Irregular Menstrual Cycle

hi im 37 years old and been having irregular menstrual cycle. it's always delayed or if im having it then it's a continuous flow (heavy) till i have to take medicine to stop it. I've checked with my dr and she says it's due to stress and am currently on medication. Please advice on what should i do as I don't wish to be on mediciation till the end.
