Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

Lichen planus presents as itchy, scaly papules and plaques distributed over the legs, arms, abdomen commonly. It can also affect the oral mucosa as well as nails

Topical potent steroid are the most commonly prescribed medicines for lichen planus. Sometimes the disease is generalized and extremely itchy. In such a scenario, the treating doctor might choose to prescribe a short course of an oral steroids, to bring the disease under control.

An OTC antihistamine e.g cetrizine once daily would help you symptomatically by relieving the itch.
