Suggest Remedy For Itching And Stinging At The Base Of Skull

Itching at the center of the base of scull.A little at times down to hair line.Shampoo with head and shoulders dry scalp formula.No flaking of any kind.Started several yrs ago.Walking down driveway and felt a sudden little stinging there.It felt like someone pulled a single hair out.Has itched off and on ever since.Only relief is rinsing area with cider vinegar.Lasts a few hrs.Tried antifungal ointment .Did not help.It is a very small area but very annoying.

Hi.
As per your case history of itching on scalp an nape of neck, my treatment advice is-
1. Stop applying hair oil for at least 2 weeks.
2. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
3. Apply a combination of mild steroid and antifungal lotion like Candid-B lotion once a day on affected region.
4. Oral antihistamine like levocetrizine can be taken for itching.

If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.
