Hi, I had an operation in about 2002 to remove my mastoid bone after an ear infection, I have been back to the hospital reguarly since then to have it cleaned and checked, numerous times I have mentioned that it itchs very much and overtime I feel this is getting worse, but I m told that it looks fine and there are no problems, this has been really bad today causing me headaches as well. Any ideas?
Itching may be due to allergy or referring pain from tooth or pharygeal wall or surgical site infection etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. use tablet lecope-AD twice a day for five days. Avoid head baths repeated. Check for any fungal infection at surgical site. If symptoms have not improved, please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
