Suggest Remedy For Itching On Body After Taking Xarelto

I am 82 years old - after taking for about 5 days (15mg twice a day) I have developed a bad itching problem which keeps me awake a big part of the night; I have stopped taking it and would like to know how long it will be before I feel an improvement. In the meantime, would aspirin help?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If the itching is related to the medication then the symptoms should reduce by 3 to 4 days after the medication is discontinued.

The use of an antihistamine such as benadryl, claritine or allegra would help.

Aspirin would help but would not be as optimal as the xarelto and there are other anticoagulants that your doctor can suggest for you.

I hope this helps
